Today’s post is going to be fairly short and to the point but hopefully also helpful. Since I introduced slide guitar in my last post, lets continue the subject. I am trying to essentially self-teach guitar from the base that I have as a kid and the wide variety of free lessons available online. My main interest musically is blues and I always wanted to try slide guitar so I have been exploring this avenue. As I said, there are a lot of lessons out there and it can be hard to swim through and get to what you want. One excellent source I have found for learning, entertainment, and just plain fun is YouTube personality, messiahsez. It’s easy to follow what he is doing and he has a particular sense of humour that includes the occasional curse and can be just downright funny. I am also including a tuning chart for a number of open tunings for slide and I will continue to feature online teaching like this in the future. I will also be maintaining menu selections at the top of the pages where I will categorize subjects for easier access to information.
